While Jonno’s in Chicago, I’ve been playing the latest Assassin’s Creed game, and I’m kind of smitten with the young character of Suleiman the Magnificent. I’ve gone looking for historical images of him in his 20s, but come up empty-handed. I did, however, find images from a TV series about Suleiman called Magnificent Century, which stars an actor by the name of Halit Ergenç, who is, by the looks of it, Turkey’s answer to Christopher Meloni. Yowza.
